Andrea C Honigsblum, MD

Andrea Honigsblum, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist and native of the North Shore. She studied English Language and Literature at the University of Chicago, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She then received her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed both her internship and residency in Ophthalmology at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.

Dr. Honigsblum has been in private practice since 2002 while holding academic teaching positions at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine and the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. She currently maintains a part-time position at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital and an affiliate faculty position at Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine.

She is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Chicago Ophthalmologic Society and the Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

In her spare-time, she enjoys yoga, international music and food, and exploring alternative medicine practices.
