Amy Cunningham, MD

Amy Cunningham, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a local native. She received her medical degree from Rush Medical College where she stayed on to complete her internship and residency in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Cunningham practices small-incision cataract surgery and is proficient in placing premium intraocular lenses including toric implants to reduce astigmatism, as well as multifocal lenses to reduce the need for reading glasses after surgery. She is affiliated with Endeavor Health Medical Group, where she performs her cataract surgeries at Glenbrook Hospital. She manages many eye diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease.

Dr. Cunningham is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is also an active member of the American Association of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, and taking advantage of Chicago’s many fine restaurants and cultural activities.
